POLKKYfarm wood shavings provide a soft, pleasantly warm and safe ground covering for animal shelters. It is suitable for dairy cattle, beef cattle, sows, pigs, poultry, horses and fur animals. The clean, absorbant shavings help to retain the freshness of the air in the animal shelter and keep the animals dry. POLKKYfarm wood shavings create a healthy indoor environment for both animals and their owners. Absorbant and non-staining wood shavings are easy and pleasant to work with. A bright, clean and pleasant barn makes for an inviting environment.

The wood shavings are manufactured and packed using an automatic baling line. The raw material used is artificially dried wood shavings, which have the capacity to absorb more than two times their own weight in liquids. The shavings are sifted, compressed into bales and packed in waterproof shrink plastic. The bales are suitably sized, waterproof and easy to handle and store.

• Bale weight 25 kg.
• Bale dimensions: 0.4x0.37x0.8 m. Contains 250 l of loose shavings.
• Delivered as pallet of 36 bales.
• Pallet size: 1.2 x 1.7 x 2.4 m
• The pallet contains approx. 9 m³ loose shavings.
• The pallet is packed in plastic and protected from the elements.

The shrink film used in POLKKYfarm packaging is made from recyclable PET materials. The packaging plastic can be recycled or burned with wood.
