The timber of the North grows slowly under very demanding conditions, which makes it an excellent raw material for building purposes. POLKKYgiant product family, manufactured from solid, densely-grained pine and spruce timbers, contains a wide range of different glued timber products for the log home industry and construction. The products comprise two or more pieces glued together either vertically or horizontally in accordance with the customer's demands.
In laminated logs, the heartwood is always on the outer surface of the log, which minimises warpage or other shape alterations in the log. The weather-durability of the logs is also excellent and the surface retains its beautiful appearance for decades. Our wide range of laminated logs provides customers with a variety of suitable choices or the option of ordering a tailored solution.
POLKKYgiant laminated logs are warm and breathing building materials. Wood naturally has the ability to bind and expel moisture while retaining its thermal insulation properties. Building
- Duo and trio laminated beams, e.g. 90x90, 115x115 for multiple uses, including arbours and terrace structures.
- The laminated beams can also be glued so as to ensure that the visually more attractive side of the log faces outward.
- The products are also available with a planed profile, or, if necessary, pressure impregnated.
