When concluding a purchase agreement, we clarify together with the seller any environmental issues that are related to the stand targeted for felling. All recommendations of the local Forestry Centre and the logging instructions of our own forestry division are put into effect during the logging process.

Customer-orientation is key

Customer-orientation is the fundamental principle in all Pölkky Oy activities. Through the utilisation of our versatile information system, we are able to apply a customer-oriented approach to wood procurement. This means that we are able to integrate the customer's demands, for instance, for non-standard log dimensions, in the planning of the actual logging operation.

The individual felling procedures appropriate for the stand of trees in question is an especially important aspect for the planning phase of logging. The primary processing of valuable raw materials Is carried out in the forest by optimising the felling process in terms of both the quality of the logs and their length distribution.  A high harvesting yield and minimal environmental impact are the trademarks of our forestry division.
